3) How did the IPL come about?

In 2011, two more teams were added Pune Warriors India and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

• Kings XI Punjab This team is based out of Mohali, Punjab and was founded in 2008.
They have been close to winning the trophy twice, but ultimately came up short.
• Rajasthan Royals Located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the Rajasthan Royals are another founding member of the IPL.
They won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2008 and have reached the finals twice since then.
• Kolkata Knight Riders Based out of Kolkata, West Bengal, the Kolkata Knight Riders have been one of the most consistent IPL teams.
They have won two titles and have reached the finals three times.
• Sunrisers Hyderabad This team is based out of Hyderabad, Telangana and was founded in 2012.
They won the title in 2016 and have made the playoffs five times.
5) What players are in the IPL?
